A CELEBRATION of the life of the forces sweetheart is being held in Witham.
Sincerely Yours – The Vera Lynn Story takes place at Witham Public hall on Saturday.
Lorrie Brown and her orchestra will entertain the audience with recreations of Vera’s timeless classic songs such as A Nightingale Sang in Berkley Square, The White Cliffs of Dover and of course We’ll Meet Again.
Dame Vera shot to fame during the Second World War, during which she spent time touring around the word performing for troops.
The show will feature a support act which is a tribute to the late, great George Formby.
The performance starts at 7.30pm, with doors opening at 7pm.
