FIREFIGHTERS battled through the night to extinguish a large barn fire.
Crews were called to the barn, in Sudbury Road, Castle Hedingham, at around 8.55pm on Friday.
On arrival firefighters found the barn fully alight.
The crews worked to surround and extinguish the fire by just after midnight, staying on site until the early hours of the morning to check for hotspots and make the scene safe.
Five engines from Sible Hedingham, Halstead, Coggeshall and Sudbury were called to the scene of the fire.
An investigation will take place to determine the cause of the blaze.
