A LADIES choir is returning to Bocking for its latest summer show, and looking ahead to a successful new season of song.

Braintree Ladies’ Choir was founded in February 2014 by musical director and singer herself Moira Frize-Williams.

Since then the group has gone from strength to strength and now performs three concerts every year in aid of nominated charities.

The Parkinson’s Disease Society and The Alzheimer’s Society are the two charities of choice, and so far the choir has raised more than £2,500 which has been split between them.

On Sunday, June 2, the group perform at St Peter’s Church, Bocking, from 4pm.

The show is a programme of well-known songs from musical theatre, both old and new, with a few surprises thrown in for good measure and the crowds enjoyment.

Refreshments are provided at the show.

September is the beginning of the new season for the group and new members are always needed.

Rehearsals take place once a week and the first week is free of charge.

Newcomers are always made welcome and there is no pressure to join if you do not want to.

The first rehearsal takes place on Wednesday, September 13, at Braintree Town Hall, between 1.30pm and 3pm.
