A PIECE by one of the art world’s most famous faces will be on display at Braintree’s Open Art Exhibition at the Braintree Community Centre.

A picture by Grayson Perry, the world renowned artist that was brought up in Great Bardfield, will be on display at the centre during the exhibition.

All work in any medium is welcomed from artists around the area and there are prizes up for grabs for the favourite pieces, selected by a panel of judges.

Cash prizes range from £25 to £200, all donated by local businesses.

The exhibition will officially open to the public on Saturday, August 18, and runs until Monday, August 28.

Entry to the exhibition is free of charge for the public.
