A MAN is set to appear in court for allegedly sending an offensive message on Twitter.
Geoffrey Reynolds, of Dugard Avenue, Colchester, has been summonsed to appear at Colchester Magistrates' Court tomorrow.
The 53-year-old is charged with sending by the public electronic communications network a message that was grossly offensive or of an indecent, obscene or menacing character.
It is in connection with a message he posted on May 22.
