Travellers set up camp on strip of land next to youth centre
A group of travellers have pitched up on a strip of land next to a youth centre in Colchester.
At least four caravans arrived on land near Highwoods Youth Centre, off Highwoods Approach, over the weekend.
Highwoods Youth Centre is run by Essex Youth Centre and is used by various groups in regular times.
The council is believed to be aware of the encampment and Highwoods councillor Gerard Oxford said he had contacted the Essex Countywide Travellers Unit.
