ELEVEN members of the 1st Laindon Girls’ Brigade raised £25 for cancer research with a charity sleepover.
Captain Debbie Trower said: “All of the girls had a fantastic time, playing traditional party games and doing party dances until midnight.
“It was the first time some of the girls had slept away from home, so it was a great experience for them. A couple of them were so excited because they had never stayed up that late before. We also watched a film and learnt a new song for church the next morning. Even though we hardly had any sleep, the girls did really well.”
