A CALLOUS thief snatched a gold earring from a 72-year-old woman’s ear in Grays.
The victim was knocking on a neighbour’s door on Saturday, October 11, in Seabrooke Road, at around 8pm when a man came up behind her and pulled the 22 carat gold earring from her ear.
The victim was not injured.
The suspect is described as a white man, about 25-years-old, 5ft 10ins tall and was wearing a grey hooded top; blue jeans and a dark blue beanie hat with a white logo on the front.
Anybody who recognises the earring or who knows anything about the theft is asked to contact Pc Andy Pattle at Grays via Essex Police 101.
They can also leave information anonymously by calling independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
