THIS man is wanted by police in connection with an attempted robbery.
Detectives have released this efit of a man they want to speak to in connection with an incident on Tintern Avenue in Westcliff in which a man attempted to grab a woman’s handbag.
The 22-year-old from Canvey had got off a bus at about 6.50am on Friday, August 14, when a man walked past her and attempted to grab the handbag, making threats and pushing her to the ground when she refused to hand it over.
The suspect then got into the passenger seat of a silver Vauxhall Corsa nearby and the car drove off.
The victim was uninjured but was left shaken.
The man was described as being white with a tanned complexion and aged in his late thirties to early forties.
He was about 5ft 7ins tall, of medium build, with cropped, dark, greying hair and a neck tattoo.
The suspect had a local accent, wore a bright red sweatshirt, grey jogging bottoms and white trainers, and had a black glove on his left hand.
