A man has been charged after a car was driven the wrong way down the A12 in Colchester yesterday. 

Unemployed Nathan Saunders, 27, of Aviary Close, London, was charged with dangerous driving, handling stolen goods and aggravated vehicle taking.

The charges relate to a BMW being driven dangerously on the A12 in Colchester yesterday, Tuesday February 9; handling a BMW stolen from Benfleet on December 28 and the aggravated vehicle taking of a Ford Mondeo in Colchester on Tuesday February 9.

He is due to appear at Colchester Magistrates’ Court today.

A 25-year-old woman from Benfleet arrested on suspicion of burglary and theft of a motor vehicle was bailed until April 12, pending further enquiries.
