A man has been arrested after two elderly women were knocked down in a crash in Hadleigh.
The crash happened at around 1.10pm on Monday in Oak Road North near to the junction with London Road.
A green Ford Fiesta was in collision with two elderly women.
An 85-year-old woman from Hadleigh suffered a broken shoulder and bruising and a 77-year-old woman from Benfleet suffered bad bruising and cuts.
A 22-year-old man from Purfleet was arrested on suspicion of careless driving and drug driving. He was later released on police bail until Friday April 22.
Anyone who witnessed the incident is asked to contact Pc Jason Mowbrey at Laindon Road Policing Unit on 101.
