Police are investigating after a man was stabbed yesterday in Tilbury.

Officers were contacted shortly after 8.15pm on Wednesday September 28 with reports a man was seen with a knife in Feenan Highway.

They attended the scene, where witnesses reported seeing an altercation involving two men.

While making enquiries, police received a further call at about 8.45pm reporting a 49-year-old man had been admitted to Basildon Hospital with a serious hand injury.

His injury was not life threatening.
