POLICE are appealing for information after burglars smashed their way into a home in Chadwell St Mary and stole a set of sentimental medals.
It happened at a property in Waterson Road, Chadwell St Mary between 7pm on September 29 and 4.40am on October 1.
Thieves removed some jewellery and a set of military medals belonging to the 59-year-old victim which include a Queens Diamond Jubilee medal, Queens Golden Jubilee Medal, Territorial Efficiency Medal, and the Volunteers Reserve service Medal.
Officers are appealing to anyone who witnessed any suspicious activity in the area and anyone who has been offered these items for sale.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Dc Clive Day in Grays on 101 or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
