PUMPKIN bowling and carving were just a few of the themed activities on the menu at the Pumpkin Patch this half term.

The patch, at Foxes Farm Produce in Wash Lane, Laindon, was packed with thousands of plump pumpkins ready to be picked by children and their families, all keen to get their Halloween off to a great start.

Dozens of people have attended the farm throughout the week to pick their pumpkins but have also enjoyed a range of seasonal activities.

Some families were keen to show off their courage and bravely took on the pumpkin maze.

Others displayed their knack for board games by taking on the pumpkin noughts and crosses game.

One of the star attractions at the farm was the pumpkin bowling, which attracted crowds of people throughout the week.

But time is running out if you want to get one of the Foxes Farm Produce pumpkins - the pumpkin patch closes tomorrow at 4pm, so get down early to make sure you do not miss out on the fun or the chance to pick your own Halloween pumpkin.

The farm also plants thousands of Christmas trees to add to its growing Christmas tree forest for families to choose from every year.
