THREE hardworking students fought off over 250 applicants from across the UK to secure places onto the prestigious University of Reading Scholars programme 2016/17.
Harry Bull, Emily Lowe and William Hudson, from Palmers College, Grays received letters from the university confirming their places onto the year-long Scholars Programme.
The programme gives a real taste of life as a university undergraduate and provides practical support from leading academics and undergraduates.
