A FOOTBALL squad are ready for kick off now they have their own kit.
The Belfairs Belles, Belfairs Academy’s Year 7 girls football team, no longer have to use the boys’ team colours for matches thanks to a kind-hearted donation from a business.
The Belles have been taking girls school football by storm, recently getting down to the last 32 teams in a national under 12s competition.
Printech Circuits Laboratories Ltd, an electronics manufacturer based in South Woodham Ferrers, heard about their success and offered to donate a new kit to the team.
The business supports other sports teams but was keen to support the school and help the girls to further success.
James Bennett, Belfairs Academy’s subject leader for PE, coaches the team. He said: “It is good for the girls that their hard work and effort is appreciated by not just those within the academy but by people and organisations in the wider community too. We are all delighted and grateful for the donation by Printech Circuits Laboratories Ltd.”
