Ambulance staff and volunteers have been praised by patients for a “fantastic”, “professional” and “super service”.

Almost 100 people who received emergency care during March responded to questionnaires.

Ninety-nine percent of respondents said they were very satisfied, satisfied or fairly satisfied with the overall service they received from the East of England Ambulance Service NHS Trust.

Results from the latest patient experience report, published this week, reveals that almost 97 per cent of respondents said the handling of their call was very acceptable or acceptable and nine out of ten said the length of time they waited for the service to arrive was very acceptable or acceptable. Almost 95 per cent added that the service they received exceeded or met their expectations.

Robert Morton, chief executive, said: “I am thrilled with these latest results, which are a testament to the care, professionalism, and dedication of our staff and volunteers across the region. We are all working hard to improve patient care and it is fantastic to have such high satisfaction scores month after month.”
