The car was found on fire outside St Chad's Church
Firefighters were called to the scene of a flaming car in Basildon in the early hours of this morning.
The car, which was discovered on fire outside St Chad's Church on Clay Hill Road in Vange, was reported to Essex County Fire and Rescue Service at 2:47am.
The fire was extinguished by firefighters shortly after by 3am.
The incident is currently under investigation.
