As part of the National Army Cadet Force open week Stanford-Le-Hope detachment had a very successful week.
The first parade night of the week they unveiled their new Mascot Colonel Chimp, who they are very proud to welcome to the detachment.
The 2nd parade night was a friends and family night for all the cadets to show their loved ones what they get up to on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
Cadet Charlie Young, 16, said: “The parents liked how we presented our open evening and got a good insight to what we do! A huge well done to all cadets."
There were also 2 certificates presented on the night in front of proud parents to Lance Corporal Billy Clampin 15 and Corporal Jack Robinson 16.
Lance Corporal Ben Marven, 16, said: “Our Cadets were absolutely outstanding tonight!
"They really showed the parents and visitors how the #StanfordMassive do things.
"Also, well done to L/Cpl Clampin and Cpl Robinson for receiving their star 3 pass certificate.”
