A school has sent their tribute to South Woodham Ferrers schoolgirl Holly Clacy.

Holly, 15, was a student of William de Ferrers school. The school ran an assembly in memory of their well-loved pupil.

Headteacher of the school, Mike Applewhite, said: “Our thoughts are with Holly’s family and friends at this incredibly difficult time.

“Holly was a quiet, friendly and warm-hearted student. She was always eager to please other people and had an infectious laugh. She had a love of history and, without fail, would stay behind at the end of lessons and ask questions.

“Holly will be sorely missed by the whole school community.

“We have been in close contact with her family to offer our condolences and provide support. Support has also been made available to all pupils and staff.”

South Woodham Ferrer community also sent in their tributes on social media after hearing the tragic news.

Police received a call at around 4.10pm on Monday November 20 following concerns for the welfare of Holly, 15.

At 7.45pm, police found Holly in woodland, Radar Hill.

Police are not treating her death as suspicious and a file will be prepared for the coroner.
