A HEARTBROKEN father has released his tribute to his ‘amazing’ and ‘infectious’ daughter after she died in South Woodham Ferrers.

David Clacy, the father of Holly Clacy, 15, whose body was discovered in Radar Hill on Monday November 20 made a public statement about the loss of his daughter on social media.

He said: “I have been conspicuous by my absence and despite everything still being so raw and so heartbreaking for me and my wife Lindsay, I have now found the moment, strength and purpose of mind to tell you a little bit about my amazing daughter and what destroyed our world on Monday.”

Mr Clacy lead the search party for Holly last Monday night, and sadly discovered her body in the woods that night.

Paramedics and police were called who worked for 40 minutes to resuscitate Holly, but she was pronounced dead at the scene.

Holly’s three siblings have been incredibly strong following the loss, according to Mr Clacy’s statement.

Mr Clacy paid tribute to his daughter, saying: “My daughter Holly was a bright, enthusiastic, delightful and helpful young lady.

“She was so keen to please and she was like a spectacular colourful kite flying out in the sky trying to touch the clouds.

“When she was happy, which was nearly all the time, she had the most infectious giggle and would laugh until she couldn’t breathe.

“It was so infectious that we would laugh with her and my sides would ache and I couldn’t see her through tears in my eyes.”

He also thanked the group of residents who rushed to help search for his daughter on the night that she died.

He added: “I would just like to say a massive thank you, first and foremost, to those people who rushed to my shouts and screams when I found Holly on this Monday night just passed.

“One of those who ran up the hill was a friend and colleague, there was a man with a dog and some young children who had also arrived quickly.”

Police said that they are not treating Holly’s death as suspicious and a file is being prepared for the coroner.

He finished his tribute with these parting words: “I will never spend an hour a day, for the rest of my life, without thinking of you.

“What an unspeakable tragedy.

“Your mum and I are totally broken and we will love you forever.”
