Shrimpers set for a crunch campaign
HARWICH and Parkeston boss Matt Carmichael believes this season could be one of the most important in the club’s history.
The Shrimpers kick-off their Kent Blaxill Essex and Suffolk Border League premier division campaign at home to Dedham Old Boys tomorrow.
And they start with a very clear goal in their sights – to gain promotion back into the Thurlow Nunn League.
“I’d say it’s one of the biggest seasons – if not the biggest season – in the club’s proud history,” said Harwich manager Matt Carmichael.
“The past is the past and the reality is that we need to get promoted.
“I can’t see the club being around in ten years’ time if we’re still in the Border League.
“It’s time to move on and get back where we feel we belong."
