MISTLEY Rugby Club cemented their mid-table position in Eastern Counties League division one, thanks to a resounding 46-12 win at Mildenhall.
A hat-trick of tries were scored by Gary Booker and there were two from Chris Humphreys and one each for Sam Rowe, James Tozer and Isaac Tamani.
Humphreys and Booker kicked conversions.
Mistley’s second team, ably assisited by some Harwich and Dovercourt players, lost 38-12 at home to Clacton.
Matt MacGregor, playing his first senior match for Mistley, kicked a conversion, while tries were scored by two Harwich players.
Tomorrow, Mistley’s first team are away to top-of-the-table Thurston.
Their second team are playing Mersea and, due to a waterlogged pitch, the game has been switched to Mistley.
Both matches kick-off at 2pm.
