James Webster’s premier division high-fliers bounced back from their midweek defeat at CRC by winning 3-1 at Kirkley & Pakefield.

Scott Yearling scored twice, either side of the break, and a Terry Rymer penalty gave them a comfortable victory on the Suffolk coast.

After dipping to fourth in the week, they moved back up a place after leapfrogging Gorleston, who drew 0-0 at Godmanchester Rovers.

BRANTHAM ATHLETIC beat STANWAY ROVERS 2-1.

Ray Turner put the hosts in front, from the spot, before Michael Brothers levelled with another penalty, for Rovers.

But Simon Mann grabbed Brantham's winner with a spectacular effort from 25 yards.

WIVENHOE TOWN gave their survival chances another shot in the arm by drawing 0-0 at CRC.

FC CLACTON drew 1-1 at home to Norwich United, having taken the lead through Tom Holdstock.

HALSTEAD TOWN are third in division one after beating Downham 3-0.

Jordan Palmer, Jordan Hutchings and Tom Cook scored their goals – the latter from 40 yards.

BRAINTREE TOWN RESERVES crashed to a 6-3 defeat at Saffron Walden Town.
