MATT Carmichael is back in the managerial hot-seat at Harwich and Parkeston.

The Shrimpers boss recently said he needed a break and missed Saturday’s 2-1 defeat at Barnston.

However, after spending a football-free Easter weekend, he returned to the dug-out for Tuesday’s 2-2 draw against Gas Recreation.

And chairman Tony Armstrong confirmed that his manager has agreed to return, at least until the end of the Kent Blaxill Essex and Suffolk Border League season.

“Matt had a weekend away from football, with his family, and we met up for a chat at the start of the week,” said the Shrimpers stalwart.

“We both agreed it would be sad to undo all the good work that’s been put in, without him being around.

“He’s agreed to come back and carry on the challenge and it was good to have him back on Tuesday.
