HARWICH and Parkeston manager Matt Carmichael is setting his sights on a league and cup double.
The Shrimpers put some silverware in their trophy cabinet following Wednesday’s success in the Border League Knockout Cup.
Martin Calver’s cool penalty ensured a 1-0 victory against Alresford Colne Rangers, in the final at Colchester Garrison.
Now Carmichael hopes his confident side can follow it up by gaining the premier division championship crown.
They currently sit fourth but have games in hand on leaders West Bergholt and second-placed Tollesbury.
Gas Recreation, two points above in third, have, like Harwich, played 25 games.
Reflecting on his side’s cup success, Carmichael said: “We’ve had a good season and it was nice to get some reward."
