HARWICH and Dovercourt Cricket Club skipper Tommy Armstrong is still confident of a top-half finish this season.
The Low Road outfit have lost four of their opening six Marshall Hatchick Two Counties Championship division five fixtures, most recently Saturday’s 28-run defeat against Witham twos.
However, Armstrong is convinced his side will start firing soon and believes they are more than capable of climbing the table.
They currently sit fourth-from-bottom, ahead of tomorrow’s trip to fellow strugglers Elmstead Grasshoppers.
“It’s been a typical start to the season for us,” said Armstrong.
“We’re known for not beginning well but I’m confident we’ll pick up and finish in the top half."
