THE Tendring Summer League held the first of its competitions, at Clacton Railway Club.
In the Team of Threes event, reigning champions Alan Currivan, Darren O’Neill and Steve Barker (The Crown) retained their title with a victory against Andrew Currivan, Brian Burrett and Joe Twinn (Duffers).
A field of 32 players competed in the 301 Singles Cup.
A great standard of darts was played throughout.
Gavin Payne (Double Trouble) made it a superb hat-trick as he retained the title and became the first player to win the event three times in a row. In an entertaining final, he defeated fellow Essex county player Alan Collins (Crown Jewels).
