HARWICH and Dovercourt Cricket Club produced a solid all-round performance to defeat Earl Stonham, on Saturday.
Tommy Armstrong’s side won the Marshall Hatchick Two Counties Championship division five contest by six wickets, to collect all 20 points.
Earl Stonham batted first but were skittled for just 148.
There were three wickets apiece for Steve Bushell, former first-team skipper Aaron Rudkin and Armstrong.
Harwich made a confident start with the bat, thanks to openers Tom Luxford and Bushell.
The former made 49 and the latter an unbeaten 60.
After ducks for Adeel Abbas and Aaron Bilton, Richie Bushell then settled any nerves with 28.
Harwich, fourth from bottom in the table, got home with six wickets to spare to notch their third victory of the season.
