DOVERCOURT Bowling Club’s Pam Bloom, Val Green and Chris Griggs have made it through to the Essex County Triples finals.
Following their success in the area final, the trio played in the county quarter and semi-finals on Saturday, at Great Baddow.
Despite being up against strong opposition, they won both their games and will now play in the Essex final at Chelmsford in July.
After that they will represent Essex at the Bowls England National Finals in Leamington Spa, in August.
This will be the first time the club have had any ladies playing in the national finals for many years.
Bloom now has achieved sufficient points to obtain her county badge.
Green and Griggs should have their badges by the end of next season.
The last Essex county badge awarded to a Dovercourt lady was in 1986.
