LITTLE Oakley joint-manager Paul Sadler says there is no danger of complacency creeping into his free-scoring side.

The Acorns have made an emphatic start to the new Essex and Suffolk Border League season, winning all four of their games and smashing 24 goals.

They have only conceded six and proudly sit at the top of the early premier division table, just ahead of Gas Recreation.

Sadler admits his free-scoring side have made a dream start to the campaign – but says there is no chance of anyone becoming over-confident.

“We’ve been very happy with the way things have gone, especially scoring so many goals,” said the Oakley boss, who runs the side along with Sean Tynan.

“It was also great to keep our first clean sheet at the weekend.

“There will be some tight, tough games this season, so it’s very important that we’re solid at the back.

“But no-one is getting over-confident and one of our main strengths so far has been our attitude and the way we’ve started games."
