BRANTHAM ATHLETIC got back to winning ways, after bitterly disappointing defeats against struggling pair FC Clacton and Diss.

Kieran Lawler and Jourdan Kiwomya scored their goals in a 2-1 victory at home to Kirkley & Pakefield.

The Suffolk side pulled one back and finished the match with ten men, after having a player sent off.

There was no such success for WIVENHOE TOWN or FC CLACTON.

Both suffered defeats, with the Dragons going down 2-1 at Haverhill Rovers.

Ben Parkin popped up with an equalising goal and it was all-square at the break.

Marley Spindler was then sent off during a second half in which the hosts went on to grab their winner.

Clacton’s defeat was a 2-0 reverse at Ipswich Wanderers.

Both goals came in the second half.

HALSTEAD TOWN drew 1-1 in their first division match at Stowmarket.

The hosts took the lead with a hotly-contested penalty, before Tom Cook scored a great leveller for the fifth-placed Humbugs.
