HARWICH and District Indoor Bowls Club ran out 140-63 winners in a mixed friendly against Kirby.
Overall, they were much superior on the day.
The best performance was achieved by Mike Ryan, skipping Dianne Jacobs and David Hunter, who scored freely throughout to win by 23 shots.
Captain Michael Reeder, playing with wife Jean and Colleen Johnson, shortened the jack after five ends and it proved a successful move as they went on to win by 18 shots.
The triple skipped by Sandy Mooney, assisted by Chris Barker and Mike Lewis, was, on paper, the strongest rink.
However, this was not reflected early in the match and it was the seventh end before they took control of the game, emerging winners by 12 shots.
Also winning by 12 shots was Brenda Vernaven, with Carol Sutton and Barbara Dale.
There was success too for Peter Clarke, helped by Jackie and Keith Hindle, winning by seven shots.
Edith Butcher, skipping Pat Mitchell and Keith Forsyth, probably had the toughest task but overcame their opposition by five shots.
