Mixed triples freindly
HARWICH’S best performance was the triple skipped by Mike Ryan, assisted by Dianna Jacobs and Pat Mitchell.
They coasted to victory by 12 shots.
Captain of the day Edith Butcher, skipping Shirley and George Beaumont, were also in charge throughout, winning by ten shots.
Skip Mike Lewis, playing with Ann and Steve Humphrey, were five shots down after 12 ends.
However, they then put in a blistering last six ends to win by eight shots.
Brenda Vernaven, aided by Carol Harrington and Keith Forsyth, were winning comfortably until they dropped nine shots in three ends.
They managed to hang on to win by one.
The triple skipped by Sandy Mooney, playing with junior Adam Kadlec and Chris Barker, lost by three shots.
George Gilmour’s triple, supported by Jim Gerbi and Richard Bareham, were leading by five shots with just three ends remaining.
However, they dropped eight shots to lose by three.
