CLACTON Indoor Bowls Club were victorious at an annual ladies’ gala.
Twenty teams from around the district entered the event, hosted by Harwich and District Indoor Bowls Club.
All teams played three games of six ends.
There were two groups of ten teams and the winners of each group went through to the final, in which Clacton defeated coastal neighbours Happy Valley.
In other results, Clacton played Havering and lost by 13 points, 113-100.
Their top rink was rink one, which consisted of Tracy Baxter, Dave Bexley, Stella Newell and Del King.
Elsewhere, Clacton’s men played GP2 and won by 48 points, 148 to 100.
Their top rink was rink two, who won by a staggering 46 points to seven, which was Terry Williamson, Ken Gaylor, Paul Diggle and Sid Elmer.
