THERE was a top-of-the-table clash in the Harwich Men’s League.
In a showdown between the sides sitting second and third in the A division, the Squirrels beat Hanover A 5-3.
Squirrels won the first five games, before their opponents made the score respectable by winning the last three.
Paul Raffle, for the Squirrels, had a 14-dart leg.
Top team Ind Coope A were held by Little Oakley A.
It ended in a draw, thanks to Coope’s Alan Collins.
Going into the last game, Oakley’s Damian Smith made the score 4-3.
Team-mate Collins then forced the draw.
Coope’s Paul Amoss had a 135 finish and Neil Langdown a 116 finish.
