HARWICH and Dovercourt Cricket Club have made a flying start to the new season.
The club’s Sunday side launched their North Essex League campaign with a comfortable victory against Gosfield.
They won by four wickets to collect maximum points, with 15 overs to spare at blustery Low Road.
Harwich were crowned division five champions last year but, due to a league restructure, now find themselves in division three.
“It was a great start to the campaign, in pretty difficult conditions,” said delighted skipper Dom Gueizelar.
