STANWAY ROVERS completed their best-ever season by finishing third in the Thurlow Nunn League.
Angelo Harrop’s side beat Thetford 2-1 today, thanks to goals from Karl-Mike Fondop-Talun and Jordan Palmer (penalty).
And that was enough to see them finish third, behind champions Norwich United and runners-up Godmanchester Rovers.

Elsewhere, relegated WIVENHOE TOWN ended on a high by thumping Ely 5-2.
BRANTHAM ATHLETIC inflicted a first home defeat of the season on Norwich United, recording a brilliant 2-1 victory.
FC CLACTON, who made themselves safe from relegation last weekend, drew 1-1 at Walsham-le-Willows.
