JO Mason was part of a winning quartet at this year’s British Dressage Inter Regional Team Championships.

Mason, from Stones Green, and her team-mates won a strongly-contested competition at Keysoe.

They competed over two days, at an event that saw 126 competitors in 33 teams representing British Dressage’s eight regions across England and Wales.

Mason (second from the right), together with dressage horse Cor de Corine, owned by Sharon Kirwan, teamed up with Vicki Clark, Jodie Smith and Megan Broady.

They were selected to represent the eastern area at medium level, with her team-mates riding at prelim, novice and elementary.

Team members performed two different tests at their chosen level.

Their placings were then put together, which gave them an overall win and a lead of seven points.

This was despite the fact they were sitting fifth overnight, nine points behind the leaders.

As well as the team competition, there were also individual champions.

Mason came fourth in the medium class, just four points behind the winner.

She has had Corine for the last seven years and trained her from a very novice horse up through the levels of British Dressage.

She previously competed successfully in eventing and showjumping with her other horse before changing disciplines.
