WET weather led to frustration for Harwich and Dovercourt Cricket Club.

The Low Road side were involved in an abandoned Marshall Hatchick Two Counties Championship division five match at home to Elmstead Grasshoppers twos.

The visitors batted first and were all out for 202.

Dinesh took four for 57 and Sam Good three for 36.

However, Harwich were unable to start their reply and the match was eventually called off.

Sam Felgate’s side visit Braintree twos tomorrow while the club’s second team, who lost by ten wickets at Frinton thirds last weekend, host Ipswich.
