Richard Buckland’s team, consisting of Dick Bloom, Graham Mond and Phil Armstrong, were the top rink, winning 23-7.
Harry Manning’s team were leading 19-9 on the 16th end but allowed their opponents to recover to 19-16.
They then managed to win the last end by one shot, to make the final score 20-16.

DOVERCOURT had an awful night and lost on all three rinks.
They have been doing well this season and would have hoped to improve their position following this home match.
Instead, they will now be looking for maximum points in their next match, away at Wivenhoe.
Thorpe took all the points, 8-0.
