HEAD coach Martin Webb believes some of Harwich Boxing Club’s talented youngsters can “seriously challenge” for national honours.
The club reflected on a year of success at their AGM and presentation night, at their Main Road base.
It was the club’s 18th year, since being formed in April 1997.
And Webb believes more bright times could be on the horizon, in the next 12 months.
“Once again, our small nucleus of boxers have performed consistently well on the local and regional amateur boxing circuit,” he said.
“These lads always give 100 per cent and are proud to represent Harwich on their travels, which have taken them as far afield as London, Durham and Kent over the last 12 months.
“Next season we believe we have the raw ingredients surfacing in a few of the boxers to seriously challenge for national honours.”
