HARWICH and Parkeston have unveiled a new management trio.
John Fidgett, who was joint-boss with Mark Sharp last season, will be joined in the hot-seat by Martin Warnes and Duckpond FC manager Michael Hammond.
The trio will lead the Shrimpers during next season’s Essex and Suffolk Border League premier division campaign, which starts on August 15.
And to continue the club’s encouraging week, there was also a healthy turnout of more than 20 players for their first pre-season training session, on Tuesday night.
Most of last season’s promotion-winning squad have moved on during the close-season, so more players are sorely needed.
“It’s a relief and I’m feeling much more optimistic,” said Harwich chairman Tony Armstrong, who had to find a new manager following Sharp’s departure to take up a coaching role within Ipswich Town’s Academy.
