HARWICH’S Emma Joslin helped England to victory at the inter-nations competition, in Cheshire.

The junior team saw off Northern Ireland, 23-18, Scotland, 19-13, and Wales, 17-15.

This meant they advanced into the final, on Sunday afternoon.

Despite playing in torrential downpours, England were crowned as the overall champions, beating Wales again, 22-15.

The other players in the team were Fin Bristow, George Parrish and Josh Smith.

“The team were amazing,” said Emma’s mum, Harwich and Dovercourt Hockey Club stalwart Rachel.

“There were some pretty tense moments and some fabulous play.”

Emma was competing on her new pony called Aguahita.
