DRAGON Martial Arts Club held their black belt grading.
The students have been working towards it for a long time, especially David Couldrey, whose exam was held over 60 hours.
The club had their oldest-ever member, Andrew Tiffin, take his first degree black belt, at over 60 years of age.
The students were assessed on a number of disciplines, including basics, open-hand forms, long-range and short-range weapons, self-defence and sparring.
Results: Promoted to fourth degree black: David Couldrey. Promoted to third degree black: Carl Wilden. Promoted to second degree black: Simon Price and Kane Galloway. Promoted to first degree black: Andrew Tiffin and Christopher Wood.
