FC CLACTON and BRANTHAM ATHLETIC both tasted victory in the Thurlow Nunn League tonight.
The Seasiders won 4-3 in a real thriller at home to Whitton United.
Skipper Aaron Condon drilled them into an early lead – only for the visitors to level soon after.
Charlie Thompson then restored Clacton’s lead in the second half with a close-range effort from Billy Wales’ cross.
Kevin Coyle fired home his first of the season to extend the lead, but the Seasiders were left reeling after conceding twice in quick succession to make it 3-3.
However, Coyle then scored again to complete an amazing victory at the Rush Green Bowl.
Brantham, meanwhile, won 4-1 at home to Long Melford.
Sean Gunn got the ball rolling and they went on to complete a comfortable victory.
Sean Bartlett was also among the scorers, against his former club.
In the first division, BRAINTREE TOWN RESERVES lost 2-1 at home to Cornard United.
