DOVERCOURT Bowls Club had a convincing Premier League win against Brightlingsea B, winning on all three rinks and taking the points 8-0.
The top rink was skipped by H Manning, assisted by M Hale, B Hopkins and P Martin.
However, Dovercourt's good form in the Windsor League came to a sticky end, as they lost three rinks to one against Kirby in an 8-2 defeat.
Dovercourt's winning rink was skipped by R Petts, assisted by J Welch and J Rippin.
Two consecutive defeats in the Stanford League were disappointing for Dovercourt, especially as one was against local rivals Parkeston, who won by two rinks to one with a points score of 60-48.
The other match was against Kirby, with rink scores of 18-16, 21-16 and 15-15 as Kirby took the league points 5-3.
Dovercourt's top rink was skipped by B Debenham, assisted by R Hunt, K Sparkes and C Barker.
