TWO players rose to the top as Harwich and Dovercourt Golf Club held their annual 36 hole club championships
The competition consisted of gold and silver divisions and it was a tough day with a strong breeze making conditions challenging for all competitors.
It certainly showed up in the scores that were being achieved.
Tom Neale and Ashley Brundle were the two who mastered the conditions best, with Neale winning the gold trophy with two fantastic rounds of 71 gross and 73 gross and Brundle took the silver with two consistent rounds of 89 and 88.
One notable score that was worth a mention was Eric Bushell’s score in the afternoon round with a gross 67, which was a fantastic score in such challenging conditions.
RESULTS: Gold Winner - Tom Neale 71+73=144; Silver Winner - Ashley Brundle 89+88=177.
