HARWICH Boxing Club's positive start to the new season continued in Harrow as Paul Gordon went in search of Essex development title honours.
He faced Brentwood puncher Johnny O'Sullivan in the under-69kg welterweight division final over three lively rounds.
Both boxers traded freely in the opener, swapping heavy shots.
In the second, Gordon found his range and, after launching a ferocious salvo of shots, forced the referee to intervene with a standing eight count.
The same scenario was repeated in the final session, which saw Gordon go on to claim a unanimous points decision win.
The much improved Harwich boxer now contests the Eastern Counties final in Billericay on Saturday, against former victim Daniel Meins, from Peterborough.
