HARWICH Swimming Club sent a small squad to the Essex Age Group Championships, held at the London Aquatic Centre in Stratford and the Basildon Sporting Village.
They all swam extremely well, nearly all coming away with personal bests.
Medals went to Louis Walker, who qualified in third place for the 50 metres breaststroke event in his age group, eventually coming fifth in the final, and Jack Howlett, who finished third in the 50m freestyle and seventh in the 50m breaststroke.
The other swimmers who achieved Essex qualifying times were Joshua and Zachary Herbert, Daryl Rands, Callum Everitt, Ella Harris, Ruby Hammond, Syd Roberts, Holly Turner, Stephanie Rice, Oliver Dann and Lewis Overton.
